Il Motorland Aragon di Alcaniz in Spagna ha ospitato il primo round della Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup 2022 nella quale tutti i piloti utilizzano le Yamaha YZF-R3 ed il team Soradis Motoxraciong schiera i due giovanissimi Andrea Pizzoli e Devis Bergamini.

Dopo aver svolto ieri una sessione di prove libere che ha visto Pizzoli chiudere al quinto posto proprio davanti a Bergamini, in seguito i due piloti hanno disputato la prima Superpole stagionale. Andrea Pizzoli ha fermato i cronometri sul tempo di 2’15”233 ed ha ottenuto il terzo posto. Sesta posizione invece per Devis Bergamini autore di un giro in 2’15”421. In base a questi risultati Pizzoli ha preso il via dalla prima fila e Bergamini dalla seconda, nelle due gare che si sono disputate oggi, sulla distanza di 9 giri.
In gara1 i due piloti del team Soradis Motoxracing hanno condotto una gara stabilmente nel gruppo di testa. Solo nel finale i primi due hanno preso un leggero vantaggio, mentre Bergamini è rimasto in testa al gruppo degli inseguitori sino sotto la bandiera a scacchi, conquistando così un meritato podio. Ottima anche la gara di Pizzoli sesto in volata, a pochi decimi dal suo compagno di squadra.
La seconda gara ha visto Bergamini e Pizzoli assoluti protagonisti. Dopo una gara condotta sempre nelle prime posizioni, era Bergamini a vincere davanti a Fontainha ed al suo compagno di squadra Pizzoli, terzo a 64 millesimi dalla seconda posizione. Purtroppo però nel tardo pomeriggio la Direzione Gara penalizzava Pizzoli per aver superato i limiti della pista ed il pilota del Motoxracing veniva così retrocesso in ottava posizione. Un vero peccato ed una punizione che toglie ad Andrea un risultato conquistato in pista con coraggio e talento.
Il prossimo appuntamento con la Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup è fissato per il 22 e 23 aprile sul circuito di Assen in Olanda.

Andrea Pizzoli: “Le nostre sono gare sempre molto difficili e combattute ed il livello qui è molto alto. Mi spiace moltissimo per la mia penalizzazione perché nella bagarre della gara non me ne ero nemmeno accorto. Ovviamente sono deluso del mio risultato finale, ma torno a casa con la consapevolezza di poter essere protagonista e puntare alla vittoria in ogni gara. Voglio ringraziare la mia squadra e tutti gli sponsor che ci sostengono”.

Devis Bergamini: “E’ stato un grande weekend. Nelle qualifiche non ero riuscito ad esprimermi al massimo, ma poi in gara mi sono ampiamente rifatto. Una vittoria ed un podio sono risultati fantastici e non avrei potuto chiedere di più a questo primo round. Ora dobbiamo continuare su questa strada e puntare alla vittoria in campionato. Grazie al mio team ed ai nostri sponsor senza i quali tutto questo non sarebbe possibile”.

Soradis Motoxracing – Bergamini wins the second Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup race Aragon

Motorland Aragon in Alcaniz, Spain is the stage for the first round of the 2022 Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup in which all riders compete with Yamaha YZF-R3 bikes and the Soradis Motoxraciong team fields youngsters Andrea Pizzoli and Devis Bergamini.
After yesterday’s free practice in which Pizzoli finished fifth right ahead of Bergamini, the riders took part in the first Superpole of the season. Andrea Pizzoli stopped the clock on 2’15”233 and scored third place, while Devis Bergamini closed sixth with a 2’15”421. Based on those results, Pizzoli lined up on the front row and Bergamini from the second in today’s two nine-lap races.
In race 1, the two Soradis Motoxracing team riders were consistently among the frontrunners. Only in the final stages did the leading pair gain a slight lead, while Bergamini continued to head up the chasing group all the way to the line, thus earning a well-deserved podium. Pizzoli also ran a strong race and closed sixth, just a few tenths from his team-mate.
The second race saw Bergamini and Pizzoli take centre stage. After running at the front from start to finish, it was Bergamini who won ahead of Fontainha and team-mate Pizzoli, third and just 0.064 of a second from second. Later in the day however, Race Direction penalised Pizzoli for having exceeded the track limits and the Motoxracing rider was therefore demoted to eighth place. A real pity and a punishment that sees Andrea lose out on a result earned with courage and talent.
The next round of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup will take place on 22-23 April at the Assen TT Circuit in The Netherlands.

Devis Bergamini: “A great weekend. In qualifying, I was unable to fully express myself, but I definitely made up for that in the races. A win and a podium are fantastic results and I couldn’t have asked for more from this first round. We need to continue on this path now and aim for the championship win.
