Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team and Bradley Ray together again in WorldSBK in 2024

Yamaha Europe has confirmed Bradley Ray, who will remain with the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team for another year.

This confirms a partnership that demonstrated considerable potential last season, despite it being the Brit’s first year in WorldSBK.

Surgery to Ray’s right shoulder impacted to a certain extent on the growth path of team and rider, with the latter forced to sit out the Czech round at the Most circuit. Ray concluded the championship in nineteenth place with nineteen points, his best result a sixth place finish in race 2 at Imola.
Born in Lydd, England on 16 May 1997, Bradley began his career in 125, which then became Moto3. He competed in the Rookies Cup from 2012 to 2014, collecting one win and four podiums. In 2015 and 2016 he alternated between Supersport and Moto2, before making his debut in British SBK in 2017. He remained in the national series until 2022, when he was crowned champion and moved to WorldSBK with the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team.

In 2024, Sandro Carusi’s team will participate in the full championship and not only the European rounds. This means that they will be at Phillip Island for the season-opener on 23-25 February.

"I’m pleased to continue on the journey we began with Bradley in WorldSBK last year. His surgery during the season slowed our growth somewhat, but in the first part of the year we showed we could be competitive together. I’m confident, both that he will make a full recovery and that we can achieve positive results in the 2024 championship.”

“I’m really happy to sign with Yamaha and MotoX again for the 2024 season. I feel like it’s important to get a second year to really blossom and be able to show your full potential! We had some strong races in 2023 together so I’m excited to build on that. I’m super happy to be doing the full championship too and think this will be very beneficial for myself throughout 2024. I want to say a massive thank you to everyone at Yamaha and Sandro at MotoX for giving me a second year and another opportunity to compete in WSBK. See you in Australia!”
