Just a few days after its two-day test at the Barcelona track, the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team and rider Bradley Ray are ready for the second WorldSBK round that will take place this weekend at the same Catalunya circuit.
Sandro Carusi’s technical staff has analysed the data collated during testing to allow the British rider to be more competitive right from the first free practice session.
The Barcelona event will also mark the start of the Supersport 300 championship, in which the Yamaha MotoXRacing WorldSSP300 Team will make its debut with riders Elia Bartolini ed Emiliano Ercolani, two of the most promising young riders on the Italian motorcycling landscape. This category will play out over eight rounds, each comprising two races, with a format that sees one free practice session and Superpole on Friday, one race on Saturday and the second race on Sunday.
The Montmeló circuit was inaugurated in 1991 and stages many important car and motorcycle races. It is located roughly 30 km from the city of Barcelona. The track measures 4657 metres and comprises 14 turns, specifically eight right-handers and six left-hand turns.

“We’re ready to tackle this second round at Barcelona, where we plan to put the experience gained during last week’s two-day test to good use. Our goal is to remain in the points zone, but it will be even more important for both team and rider to continue along their growth path. This weekend will also see our Team debut in WorldSSP300 and we’re all very curious to see our two riders Elia Bartolini and Emiliano Ercolani at work. We hope that these two talented riders can bring us positive results.”
“I can’t wait to start this second WorldSBK round. We had a few difficulties during the two-day test at Barcelona and so the team is analysing the data, but I have real confidence in them and their abilities, and we know in which direction we need to work to improve both our flying lap times and race pace. I’m training hard to that I’m ready for Barcelona, where we’ll all do our best to be increasingly competitive.”
