Il Team Motoxracing ha disputato oggi all’autodromo di Donington Park in Inghilterra la seconda giornata valida per il quinto round del Campionato Mondiale Superbike.
Ieri Roberto Tamburini aveva svolto due sessioni di prove libere, concluse al diciannovesimo posto con un giro veloce in 1’29”423, mentre questa mattina nel terzo ed ultimo turno di libere il suo tempo è stato molto vicino a quello di ieri: 1’29”438.
In tarda mattinata il pilota della squadra di Sandro Carusi ha disputato la Superpole che ha stabilito le griglie di partenza di Gara1 e della Superpole Race. A conferma dei continui progressi sia del pilota che della moto preparata dallo suo staff tecnico, Roberto ha fatto segnare il crono di 1’28”025, abbassando quindi notevolmente il suo giro veloce del weekend ed ottenendo il diciannovesimo posto.
Tamburini ha quindi preso il via dalla settima fila, nella gara che si è disputata nel pomeriggio sulla distanza di 23 giri. Nelle prime tornate il pilota del Team Motoxracing occupava la ventitreesima posizione. In seguito, mantenendo il suo ritmo e senza commettere errori, Roberto recuperava due posizioni e terminava al ventunesimo posto.
Domani mattina Tamburini disputerà la Superpole Race, mentre nel pomeriggio sarà impegnato in Gara2.

A difficult first WorldSBK race for Tamburini at Donington Park
Team Motoxracing is at Donington Park in the UK where it has now completed the second day of action making up the fifth Superbike World Championship round.
Roberto Tamburini took part in the first two practice sessions yesterday, finishing in nineteenth place with a fastest time of 1’29”423, while this morning he came close to repeating his best of yesterday, setting a 1’29”438 during the final free practice.
In the late morning the Italian was on track for Superpole, the phase that establishes grid positions for the first Superbike race and the Superpole Race. Confirming the continual progress that both rider and bike are making, Roberto set a 1’28”025, significantly improving on his best time of the weekend to finish nineteenth.
Tamburini therefore lined up on the seventh row of the grid for the afternoon’s 23-lap race. Through the first laps, the Team Motoxracing rider was lying twenty-third. Maintaining his pace and without making mistakes, Roberto was then able to make up two positions and cross the line twenty-first.
Tomorrow morning will see Tamburini compete in the Superpole Race, followed by the second Superbike race in the afternoon.
