Michael Ruben Rinaldi joined forces with Yamaha for the 2025 season, competing in the World Supersport category aboard the brand-new R9.

Despite his best efforts, the Italian has not achieved the desired results and has therefore decided to seize the opportunity to return to WorldSBK with Team Yamaha Motoxracing.
An important move for Michael and for Sandro Carusi’s squad, both united by the same determination to demonstrate their true worth and potential.

Born in Rimini on 21 December 1995, Michael Ruben Rinaldi began racing in the 125 class before switching to the European Stock 600 category, in which he placed second overall in 2015. The following year he competed in Superstock 1000 and was crowned champion in 2017. A victory that opened the door to WorldSBK, a category in which he raced until last year, amassing five race wins and 23 podiums.
He will climb aboard the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team’s YZF-R1 for the first time during the Misano round, which will take place on 13-15 June.

Tornare a correre in Superbike, e per di più a Misano, mi carica tantissimo e non vedo l’ora di conoscere la mia nuova squadra e di iniziare a lavorare sulla mia moto. Non ho mai guidato una YZF-R1 e quindi al momento il mio obiettivo è solo quello di impegnarmi al massimo, e poi vedremo cosa arriverà”.
