The first two free practice sessions making up the opening WorldSBK round at Phillip Island in Australia played out today.

The Phillip Island Circuit in Australia has staged an official two-day WorldSBK test in which the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team participated with riders Bahattin Sofuoglu and Tito Rabat, with the aim of preparing effectively for the first championship round.

Like the test at Jerez just a few days ago, the Portimao test also concluded with a day of rain, which prevented the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team’s riders and technicians from continuing with the constructive work they had begun on the previous day, when the track was dry.

The Jerez Circuit in Spain has staged a two-day test, in which the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team participated with its riders Tito Rabat and Bahattin Sofuoglu, both making their debut with Sandro Carusi’s team and with the YZF R1.

As previously announced, the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team will field two riders in 2025, entrusting its Yamaha YZF-R1 bikes to Spaniard Tito Rabat and Turkish rider Bahattin Sofuoglu.

The twelfth and final WorldSBK round has concluded today at Jerez de la Frontera in Spain.
