The 2024 Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK and Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSSP300 teams are presented in Rome

The inauguration of the new GYTR Pro Shop on 12 January 2024, in Fiano Romano, Rome, also saw the presentation of the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team and Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSSP300 Team

In 2024 the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team will compete in every round of the production-derived series, fielding British rider Bradley Ray for a second consecutive season. Ray made his championship debut last year with the very same squad, headed up by Team Principal Sandro Carusi.
Born in Lydd, UK, on 16 May 1997, Bradley began his racing career in the 125 class. He competed in the Rookies Cup from 2012 to 2014, scoring one win and four podiums. In 2015 and 2016 he alternated between Supersport and Moto2, before making his British SBK debut in 2017. Ray remained in the BSB Superbike championship until 2022, the season in which he was crowned champion and made the move to the world championship.

Sandro Carusi’s team is redoubling its efforts in 2024, also fielding a Yamaha team in the Supersport 300 world championship. The riders, namely Emiliano Ercolani and Elia Bartolini, will be a supported by a first-rate technical team steered by Vanni Lorenzini.
Both teams will carry out tests in preparation for the respective championship, with Ray and the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team taking to the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao on 29-30 January.

Sandro Carusi - Team Principal
"We’ve worked hard, and continue to do so, to organise our 2024 season in the best way. We’ll be busy on two fronts, in both the Superbike and Supersport 300 championships. I’m pleased that Bradley will remain with us, because this will allow us to harness the experience gained last season as we aim to score regular top ten finishes. There are high hopes for the 300 team too, with its expert technical staff and two promising young riders.   We have the potential to put together a very strong season and will be giving it our all.”

Bradley Ray #28
“I’m very pleased to stay with Team Motoxracing and to have been at the presentation. I can’t wait to get back on the bike during winter testing and am excited to travel to Australia for the first round of the championship. It’ll be my first visit to Phillip Island. I’m sure we can do better than last season, also because we now have more experience. I want to thank Sandro Carusi and Yamaha for renewing their faith in me; I will continue to do my best to achieve the best possible results.”

Emiliano Ercolani #9
“I had a great day at the presentation and was very happy and excited to have chance to talk to all the team members. I’m very highly motivated and I think we’ll head into the season with the right determination. I can’t wait to start testing. My goal is to be a consistent frontrunner in the races so that we can fight for the championship win. Thanks to Sandro Carusi and everyone who has helped me become a part of Team Motoxracing.”

Elia Bartolini #31
“I’m pleased and proud to be part of the Yamaha family and race with Team Motoxracing in the Supersport 300 championship. I’m sure it’ll be a very challenging season, but also a lot of fun. I’ll be working with a very strong team and really want to start the season well to be able to run with the fastest guys. I’ll be aiming for the title and so I’ll try to be consistent and score as many points as I can each weekend. My thanks go to Stefano Calzavara and, of course, Sandro Carusi, for making this project possible.”
