Team MotoXracing is ready to head out on track with riders Denise Dal Zotto and Silvia Comincioli for the first round of the season, taking place at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” on 5-7 April.
The squad, headed up by Sandro Carusi will compete, with both riders, in the Women’s European Championship and the CIV Femminile, the first rounds of which will be combined into one. A double commitment for the riders then, as they make their debut with the team.
For Denise, this first Misano round marks a return to competition in Italy, after several years of racing at British tracks. It will also be a very important weekend for Silvia, who comes from the 12 Pollici Cup, a very different championship technically speaking. She will also take on personal challenges this season, the young mother having chosen to compete so as to demonstrate to her daughter that we should never give up on our dreams.
The race weekend will get underway on Friday with FP1 and FP2, before qualifying plays out on Saturday, Sunday will bring the first race of the year, which is scheduled to start at 10:40 local time (CET).
Sandro Carusi – Team Manager
“It’s going to be a very busy weekend considering the combined rounds, but we’re ready to show our potential. I believe in the determination of both our riders, and we can’t wait to get out on track! It will be a new experience for both, so the goal is to start out on the “right foot”.
Denise Dal Zotto #8
“We’re starting again at last! After a long winter, I can’t wait to embark on this new adventure in WEC and continue the work we began during testing. I’m also happy to compete in the CIV Femminile, and to race in Italy surrounded by everyone who supports me. I want to say a big thank you to all of them; they will spur me on to start the season in the best possible way."
Silvia Comincioli #93
“The 2024 season is finally here and I’m very excited to get started. My aim for this first race is to find good feeling with the bike and team, so that we’re in a position to work effectively throughout this long championship. Time should be on our side, so all I need to do is twist the throttle!”
