The final WorldWCR round has now concluded at Jerez, with Team MotoXracing putting in another very strong showing.
Roberta achieved a further two top five finishes and was constantly in the fight for the podium.
On Friday morning, Roberta Ponziani was out on track for free practice, working hard to find the right feeling with the bike. In Superpole, which ran in the afternoon, she was able to secure a precious spot on the second row of the grid after setting a 1’52”334, the fourth fastest time.
After a brief Saturday morning warm-up, #96 took to the grid for Race 1. After making a strong start, she began battling as part of the leading group, ultimately crossing the line in fourth place.
On Sunday, after another short warm-up, Race 2 got underway at 11.50am. Roberta again got away well when the lights went out, immediately fighting for the podium. She concluded the 11-lap race in fourth place once again.
“I’m so proud of Roberta! She has shown her full potential and really flown the flag for Italy in her debut season. Great job Roby!”
“It was quite a positive weekend. I was able to be fast right away. In Race 1 I couldn’t stick with the front three due to a technical choice that proved incorrect, but on Sunday I was even lying first until a few metres from the finish line. I must thank the team for this amazing season.”
