Weather conditions at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in France were cloudy but dry as the eighth WorldSBK round got underway today.
Bradley Ray and the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team were on track for the first two practice sessions, during which they worked hard to identify the right setup for the YZF R1.
In the morning session, the British rider set the eighteenth fastest time (1’38”460) before improving on that reference in the afternoon (1’37”657) to close nineteenth overall.
Tomorrow Ray will take part in Superpole and Race 1.
“Beyond the overall position, we are pleased with the progress our rider has made and the work the team is doing in preparation for tomorrow’s Superpole and race. We need to continue along this path.”
“A positive first day, but we need to improve further to reach those up ahead. I’m sure my team will carefully analyse the data collected so that they can provide me with an even more competitive bike.”
