Ray completes Sunday’s races in France

After a day of rain, sunshine returned to the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in France today, as the curtain came down on the eighth WorldSBK round.

Having crashed in yesterday’s race 1 owing to the difficult weather conditions, Bradley Ray was back on track today for the Superpole Race and Race 2.
In the first, the Brit was pushed off track on lap one when another rider made a reckless move. Once back on track, Ray worked hard to recover, climbing to eventual P15.

In Race 2, Bradley started very well but then lost ground that he was never able to regain. Struggling to maintain a consistently fast pace, he crossed the line in seventeenth place.
The next WorldSBK round will run over the weekend of 20-22 September at the Cremona Circuit in Italy.

"The Superpole Race result was positive and came down to Ray’s recovery, but in race 2 he was unable to maintain a good rhythm. After the qualifying I was convinced he could score a good result. We’ll try to do better at Cremona, a home round for us.”

“The Magny Cours weekend has definitely not been our best. Yesterday I suffered a bad crash in Race 1 and I wasn’t in ideal shape today. That aside, we need to find a way to be competitive in the races. We have some new ideas that will help us as we prepare for the Cremona round. That track will be new to me, so I’ll need to learn it fast during practice.”
