Despite the Cremona round having concluded just four days ago, the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team is already at Motorland Aragon in Spain for the tenth WorldSBK round and the seventh WorldSSP300 round.
At the latest Italian event, Bradley Ray, who was joined by wildcard Alessandro Delbianco, scored his best result of the season, confirming not only his abilities as a rider, but also the excellent work done by his team. Ray sets out to consolidate that performance in Spain.
After competing at Magny Cours, the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSSP300 Team and riders Emiliano Ercolani and Elia Bartolini are back on track this weekend with the aim of exploiting all the work done to date and obtaining that podium that has been just out of reach until now.
MotorLand Aragón is located in Alcañiz, Spain and regularly stages both the MotoGP and WorldSBK championship. The facility is extensive and comprises a sports area, a leisure and cultural area, and a research area. The sports area includes the racetrack, a karting track as well as various off-road tracks. In addition to pro racing, the circuit runs club races, professional events and educational initiatives. The area dedicated to cultural activities includes recreational areas, a sports centre and exhibition spaces, while the research area boasts a technology park, home to many companies working in the automotive field. The track, in its WorldSBK layout, is 5077 metres in length and comprises 17 turns, seven of which right-handers and ten left.
“We’ve seen significant improvement in Superbike over the last races, and so I hope we can continue in this way. As for Supersport 300, I hope we can score a good result at Aragon, which would be very useful as we start making plans for the future.”
“I’m keen to get back to Motorland Aragon this weekend. I like it when we have back-to-back rounds like this because I can stay focused and keep up the pace. With its long straights, the Aragon track won’t be easy for us, but I want to get back on my bike and do my best to score the best possible results.”
