In Jerez for the final WorldSBK and WorldSSP300 round

With just a few days to go until the end of the Estoril round, the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team and the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSSP300 Team are in Spain at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Andalusia, for the final round of the two world championships.

For the top class, this is the twelfth round, while for the 300 it is round number eight.
Also in Spain, as it had already happened in Portugal, Sandro Carusi's team is fielding the wild card Luca Bernardi alongside Bradley Ray, while in SSP300 the two riders of the Italian team are the youngsters Elia Bartolini and Emiliano Ercolani.

If Ray's goal is to get into the points zone, Bernardi's is to improve his feeling with the R1 and try to improve on the results obtained in the previous races. Also in light of what they have demonstrated in the last appointments, the 300 riders are aiming for the podium, eager to conclude their 2024 racing season in the best possible way.

The Jerez de la Frontera track is located in southern Spain, a few kilometers from the city of Cadiz, in the Andalusia region. It is named after the thirteen-time world champion Angel Nieto, who passed away in 2017. It has hosted both MotoGP and World SBK races for years. Initially the track measured 4,218 meters but in 1992 the Sito Pons curve was modified and in 1994 the Senna curve and these changes brought the track to the current length of 4,423 meters. In total there are 13 curves, eight of which are right and five left. The pole position is on the right.

It is the seventh time that a round of the Superbike World Championship has been held on the Andalusian track.

Carusi Sandro - Team Principal

“We arrive in Jerez for the final stage of a very demanding season, in which we have been involved in all categories except Supersport. Despite all the difficulties encountered, which sometimes did not depend on us, I am satisfied with the consistent and satisfactory results we have achieved. I hope to close the two championships with good results and to be able to plan the next season with optimism."

Bradley Ray - Rider

“I can’t wait to race in Jerez, a circuit that I know well and that I like. In the last rounds we have made important progress and therefore I hope to end the championship with good results, both for me and for my team”

Bernardi Luca - Rider

“First of all I am very happy to be able to still be part of Sandro Carusi's team. Jerez is a track that I really like. I have never raced on this track, only tested, and I know that it is very technical and that it suits my riding style. I hope to continue the work started in Portugal, to continue my growth and to obtain better results”
