Tito Rabat and Bahattin Sofuoglu headed out this morning for FP1, which ran on a damp track that was difficult to interpret.
Despite this being his first time riding a superbike at this track, Sofuoglu placed a strong ninth with a time of 1’32”781. Rabat worked with his team to set up his YZF-R1 and closed twentieth with a time of 1’35”124.
The second practice ran on an almost fully dry track in the afternoon. Both riders improved on their lap times, with Sofuoglu positioning fourteenth (1’32”463) and Rabat twenty-first (1’33”816.
Tomorrow will see the Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team back at work during Superpole and the first race of this Czech SBK round.

“E’ stata una giornata complicata soprattutto a causa del meteo e delle condizioni della pista che era scivolosa e sporca. Bastava uscire dalla traiettoria per cadere. Nelle FP1 sono stato attento e nel pomeriggio, con la pista più asciutta, ho migliorato nettamente il mio tempo sul giro. Per domani cercherò di fare del mio meglio in Superpole per poter poi disputare una buona Gara1”.
“Voglio innanzitutto ringraziare la mia squadra perché mi ha messo a disposizione una moto competitiva che questa mattina mi ha permesso di essere subito veloce nella prima sessione di libere, dove ho ottenuto un ottimo nono posto. Nel turno del pomeriggio mi sono migliorato ed ho concluso al quattordicesimo posto. E’ stata una giornata positiva e sono sicuro di poter fare bene anche domani sia in Superpole che in gara dove il mio obiettivo resta la zona punti”.
