Team MotoXracing prepares to head out for the fifth round of the 2024 FIM Women's Motorcycling World Championship with its rider, Roberta Ponziani #96.
Roberta has shown real potential from the very beginning of this historic new series, the inaugural round of which ran at Misano World Circuit in June. After three race weekend in which she came consistently close to the podium, Roberta finally secured a top three finish when she crossed the line second at the Italian track of Cremona in September.
Now the MotoXracing rider takes on another new track, Autódromo Fernanda Pires da Silva, in Portugal.
The Estoril Circuit was constructed in 1972, on a plateau in the parish of Alcabideche, roughly 9 km from Estoril. It was conceived and named by entrepreneur Fernanda Pires da Silva, together with Brazilian architect Ayrton Lolô Cornelsen, after a real battle to get it constructed. The track measures 4.36 kilometres and features thirteen turns. Roberta and Team MotoXracing are ready to do their very best this weekend.
“We’re ready for this next round. After the podium at Cremona, we’re feeling very confident. It will be important to start well already on Friday.”
“After the Cremona podium, I’m very happy to get back out on track. Estoril is a new track for me, and I’ll try to learn it fast on Friday so I can give it my all in the races. See you on track!”
