Problematic day for Ray in practice at Misano

The fourth WorldSBK round got underway today at the Misano World Circuit. In hot and sunny conditions, Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK rider Bradley Ray headed out for the first free practice, in which he worked with his technical staff to adapt the setup of his bike to the Romagnolo track. His best time was a 1’36”823.

In the afternoon’s second session, and despite the high temperatures, the English rider improved on his best time by a few tenths to place twenty-third in the day’s combined standings.
Tomorrow Ray will be out on track for Superpole and the first WorldSBK race.

“We’re disappointed with the day’s results of course. Unfortunately, despite our bike being exactly the same as the one we used at Assen, today our rider had unexpected problems, which we’re trying to resolve but that made both sessions challenging today”.

“It’s been a difficult day. There’s something wrong with the bike that we cannot identify, and which means I can’t ride in a good way. Hopefully the team can find a solution in time for tomorrow! That aside, I’m enjoying riding here at Misano again.”
