Si è disputato in questo weekend al Misano World Circuit il terzo round della Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup 2022, il round di casa per il team Soradis Motoxracing e per i suoi giovani piloti Andrea Pizzoli e Devis Bergamini.

Nella giornata di ieri i due avevano svolto una sessione di prove libere e la Superpole, che ha deciso la griglia di partenza delle due gare odierne. Grande prestazione di Pizzoli (1’53”655) che ha conquistato la pole position, ma ottimo anche il quarto posto di Bergamini (1’54”019). Con questi risultati Pizzoli è scattato dalla prima fila, mentre Bergamini dalla seconda, nelle due gare odierne che si sono disputate in una calda giornata di sole sulla istanza di dieci giri.
La prima ha preso il via in tarda mattinata, ed è stata molto combattuta, con un folto gruppo di testa, dove i piloti si sono scambiati continuamente le posizioni. Al termine dei dieci giri, la vittoria è andata ad Andrea Pizzoli, che ha preceduto Manso ed il compagno di squadra Devis Bergamini, che ha completato così un fantastico risultato per il Soradis Motoxracing!
Gara2 si è disputata nel pomeriggio ed ha visto ancora una volta protagonisti i piloti del Soradis Motoxracing. E’ stata un’altra gara molto combattuta nella quale non sono mancati i contatti ma purtroppo anche le scorrettezze. A farne le spese è stato Bergamini, costretto ad uscire di pista a poche curve dalla fine per non cadere. Rientrato in pista Devis ha concluso ventunesimo. Bella la gara di Pizzoli che ha terminato in quarta posizione a pochi millesimi dal podio.
Nella classifica del campionato Pizzoli è terzo con 77 punti, mentre Bergamini lo segue al quarto posto con 73.
Il prossimo appuntamento con la Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup è fissato per il 15 e 16 luglio sul tracciato di Donington Park in Inghilterra.

Sandro Carusi – Team Principal: “Oggi i nostri ragazzi hanno dimostrato entrambi di essere in grado di giocarsi il titolo. Peccato per la condotta al limite del regolamento di alcuni avversari".

Andrea Pizzoli: “E’ stata una bellissima giornata nella quale oltre alla Superpole sono riuscito a vincere gara1. Anche nella seconda gara ho lottato per la vittoria sino alla fine, ed il podio mi è sfuggito per pochi decimi di secondo. Sono state due gare dure e molto difficili, anche perché alcuni piloti corrono al limite del regolamento. Ringrazio la squadra che mi ha messo a disposizione una moto molto competitiva”.

Devis Bergamini: “Una giornata molto bella rovinata da una scorrettezza della quale sono stato vittima in gara2. In Superpole sono stato veloce ed ho conquistato la seconda fila. In gara1 ho lottato per tutti e dieci i giri nel gruppo di testa e solo un piccolo errore nel finale mi ha negato la vittoria, ma sono comunque salito sul podio. Volevo rifarmi in gara2, ma a tre curve dalla fine un altro pilota mi ha costretto ad uscire di pista per evitare di cadere. Un vero peccato perché avrei potuto ottenere un altro ottimo risultato. Sono comunque soddisfatto di questo weekend perché ci siamo dimostrati ancora una volta competitivi ed in grado di lottare per la vittoria. Ringrazio il team con il quale mi sto trovando davvero molto bene”.

Pizzoli starts from pole and wins the first Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup race at Misano. Podium for Bergamini

Round three of the 2022 Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup played out at this weekend at the Misano World Circuit, the home event for the Soradis Motoxracing team and its young riders Andrea Pizzoli and Devis Bergamini.
Yesterday saw the pair taking part in one free practice session and Superpole, which established the starting grid for today’s two races. Pizzoli put in a great performance (1’53”655) to score pole position, but Bergamini also did well to qualify fourth (1’54”019). With these results, Pizzoli got away from the front row and Bergamini from the second for the two races, both of which ran in hot and sunny conditions over a distance of ten laps. Race one ran in the late morning, and it was very hard-fought with a big leading group in which the rider continually exchanged positions. At the end of ten laps, the win went to Andrea Pizzoli, who finished ahead of Manso and team-mate Devis Bergamini, who rounded out a fantastic result for Soradis Motoxracing!
The second race played out in the afternoon and the Soradis Motoxracing riders again played a starring role. In what was another tight race, there was no shortage of contact between riders but unfortunately also some less than correct riding. And it was Bergamini who paid for this, forced to exit the track a few corners from the finish line in order to avoid crashing. Back on track, Devis finished twenty-first. Pizzoli ran a strong race to close fourth, just a few thousandths from the podium.
In the championship standings, Pizzoli lies third with 77 points, while Bergamini follows him in fourth with 73.
The next round of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup will take place on 15-16 July at the Donington Park circuit in the UK.

Sandro Carusi – Team Principal: “Today our riders both proved capable of fighting for the title. It was just a pity that some of our rivals’ behaviour was on the limit in terms of the regulation.”

Andrea Pizzoli: “A great day in which as well scoring Superpole, I was able to win race 1. In the second race I again fought for the win right up until the end, and just missed out the podium by a few tenths of a second. Two very tough races, also because some of the riders are really on the limit when it comes to the rules. Thanks to my team for providing me with a very competitive bike.”

Devis Bergamini: “A really good day ruined by improper behaviour which cost me in race 2. In Superpole I was fast and scored a place on the second row. In race 1 I battled over ten laps as part of the leading group and only a small mistake at the end denied me the win, but I reached the podium anyway. I was keen to make up for that in race 2, but three corners from the end another rider forced me off track to avoid crashing. A real pity because I could have scored another great result. I’m pleased with the weekend anyway because we once again proved competitive and capable of fighting for the win. Thanks to my team with whom I’m getting on really well.”
