Dopo aver debuttato nel Campionato Mondiale FIM Superbike solo due settimane fa al Motorland Aragon in Spagna, il Team Motoxracing ed il suo pilota Roberto Tamburini disputeranno il secondo round del mondiale delle derivate sul circuito TT Van Drenthe di Assen in Olanda, anche conosciuto come la Cattedrale della velocità.

Il primo round di Aragon è stato certamente positivo per la squadra di Sandro Carusi e per il suo pilota Tamburini che, dopo essersi messo in mostra nelle prove, in gara2 ha raccolto i suoi primi punti mondiali. Ad Assen l’obiettivo è quindi quello di proseguire sulla strada tracciata in Spagna, continuando a fare esperienza e a crescere.
Il TT Circuit Van Drenthe di Assen è situato nel nord dell’Olanda ed è un impianto progettato specificatamente per le gare motociclistiche. Inaugurato nel 1925, dal 1949 ospita il Gran Premio d’Olanda GP che non si è corso solamente nel 2020, a causa della pandemia derivata dal Covid-19. La lunghezza del tracciato è di metri 4.542, con 18 curve delle quali dodici a destra e sei a sinistra.
Un’incognita è spesso rappresentata dal meteo, che ha fatto si che in passato molte gare si siano disputate sotto la pioggia, mentre nel 2019 la gara del sabato del mondiale Superbike è stata addirittura annullata a causa della neve.

Sandro Carusi – Team Principal : “Dopo il positivo esordio di Aragon speriamo di ottenere dei buoni risultati anche ad Assen. Questa è sempre stata una pista ostica per noi e quindi fare bene qui sarebbe molto importante per la nostra crescita".

Roberto Tamburini: “Veniamo da un primo round positivo e sono ansioso di poter tornare in pista ad Assen. Come sempre succede in Olanda speriamo in condizioni meteo favorevoli per poter proseguire il lavoro che abbiamo iniziato in Spagna. Il nostro obiettivo principale è quello di lavorare sulla nostra moto per farla rendere al meglio e per essere competitivi. Da parte mia ci metterò tutto l’impegno possibile”.

After having made its debut in the FIM Superbike World Championship just two weeks ago at Motorland Aragon in Spain, Team Motoxracing and its rider Roberto Tamburini will compete in the second round of the production-derived series at the Assen TT Van Drenthe circuit in The Netherlands, a track otherwise known as the ‘cathedral of speed’.
The first Aragon round was definitely a positive one for Sandro Carusi’s team and rider Tamburini who, having stood out during practice, scored his first world championship points in race 2. The aim at Assen will be to continue along the path traced in Spain, as the team works to gain experience and grow.
The Assen TT Circuit Van Drenthe is located in the north of the country and is a facility designed specifically for motorcycle racing. Inaugurated in 1925, it has hosted the Dutch GP round since 1949, the only exception being in 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The track measures 4542 metres and has eighteen corners, twelve of which are right-handers and six left.
The weather is often an unknown here, with many races taking place in the wet. In 2019, Saturday’s race was even cancelled due to snow.

As always in Holland, we hope for good weather so that we can continue with the work started in Spain. Our main goal is to work on our bike to optimise its performance and be competitive. As for me, I’ll work as hard as I can.”
