Si è concluso oggi a Most in Repubblica Ceca il quinto e penultimo round della Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup, al quale il Soradis Motoxracing partecipa con i due giovani italiani Devis Bergamini ed Andrea Pizzoli.

La sessione di prove libere disputata nella giornata di venerdì è stata utili ad entrambi per adattare il proprio stile di guida alla pista, e per trovare un buon assetto per le loro Yamaha. Nella successiva Superpole Pizzoli ha conquistato la pole position con un giro velocissimo in 1’50”412, mentre Bergamini (1’50”950) ha terminato in quinta posizione.
Con questi risultati Pizzoli ha preso il via dalla prima fila e Bergamini dalla seconda, nelle due gare che si sono disputate oggi sulla pista ceca, sulla distanza di 11 giri.
Nella prima, disputata in mattinata su pista asciutta, ma con la pioggia che cadeva a tratti, Bergamini è scattato bene e si è portato in testa, seguito da Pizzoli. Dopo pochi giri però Devis è dovuto rientrare in pit line per effettuare un ride through che gli era stato inflitto a Donington, ed è ovviamente rientrato in ultima posizione. Pizzoli ha lottato nel gruppo di testa sino alla bandiera a scacchi ed ha concluso in volata in sesta posizione, a tre decimi dal vincitore. Un generoso Bergamini ha girato sugli stessi dei primi, recuperando sino al diciottesimo posto finale.
Bergamini si è rifatto subito in Gara2. Devis aveva tagliato il traguardo al terzo posto, ma a seguito delle penalità imposte ai primi due classificati il pilota del Motoxracing ha vinto, mentre il suo compagno di squadra ha tagliato il traguardo al quarto posto.
Nella classifica generale del campionato Bergamini è secondo con 148 punti, ancora in lotta per il titolo, mentre Pizzoli è quarto con 125.
Il prossimo e decisivo appuntamento con la Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup è fissato per il 9 e 10 settembre sulla pista di Magny Cours in Francia.

Sandro Carusi – Team Principal: “Sono soddisfatto per la continua crescita dimostrata dai nostri piloti. Peccato per alcune interpretazioni del regolamento che hanno parzialmente condizionato il risultato”.

Andrea Pizzoli: “Il weekend è iniziato molto bene e su questa pista tecnica e divertente ho ottenuto il primo posto sia nelle libere che in Superpole. Con questi risultati speravo di ottenere risultati migliori rispetto a quelli che ho ottenuto. Ho lottato sempre nel gruppo di testa, ma devo migliorare nei giri finali, per raccogliere i risultati che sia io che il team ci meritiamo. Purtroppo ho perso la matematica possibilità di vincere il campionato, ma sono ancora in gioco per la seconda posizione. Un grande grazie alla mia squadra e a tutti quelli che mi sostengono”.

Devis Bergamini: “La pista mi è piaciuta subito molto. Dopo aver ottenuto il terzo posto nelle libere, in Superpole ho terminato in quinta posizione, e quindi nelle gare sono partito dalla seconda fila. In Gara1 ho dovuto fare un ride through per una penalità che mi era stata inferta a Donington e questa è stata la causa del mio diciottesimo posto finale. Per fortuna Gara2 invece è stata bellissima ed ho ottenuto un vittoria che mi rimette in gioco per il titolo. Non sarà facile, ma ci proveremo sino alla fine. Grazie alla squadra per il suo grande aiuto”.

Bergamini wins the second Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup race at Most

The fifth and penultimate round of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup concluded today at the Most circuit in the Czech Republic, an event in which the Soradis Motoxracing team was competing with Italian youngsters Devis Bergamini and Andrea Pizzoli.
Friday’s free practice session was useful to both riders as they worked to adapt their riding style to the track and find a good set-up for their Yamahas. In the subsequent SUperpole, Pizzoli scored pole position thanks to a very time of 1’50”412, while Bergamini (1’50”950) finished in fifth position.
With these results, Pizzoli lined up for the two 11-lap races on row one of the grid and Bergamini from row two.
In the first race, which ran in the morning on a dry track, with rain falling at intervals, Bergamini got away well and took the lead, followed by Pizzoli. After a few laps though, Devis had to return to pit line to carry out a ride through penalty that he had received at Donington, and this meant he headed back out on track in last position. Pizzoli battled as part of the leading group all the way to the line, pushing to finish sixth, just three tenths from the winner. Bergamini continued to lap with times in line with those of the leaders, climbing up through the field to finish in eighteenth place.
Bergamini soon made up for his earlier result in Race 2. Devis crossed the line in third place but, after the riders in first and second position received penalties, it was the Motoxracing rider who claimed victory, while his team-mate crossed the line fourth.
In the general standings, Bergamini lies second with 148 points, and is still in the mix for the title, while Pizzoli is fourth with 125.
The next, decisive round of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup will take place on 9-10 September at Magny Cours track in France.

Sandro Carusi – Team Principal: “I’m pleased with the continual growth that both riders are demonstrating. A pity about some of the interpretations of the regulation that partially conditioned the results.”

Andrea Pizzoli: “The weekend started really well and I placed first in both practice and Superpole at what is a technical but fun track. With these results I hoped to do better than I actually did in the races. I battled with the frontrunners, but I need to improve in the final stages, to secure the kind of results that the team and I deserve. Unfortunately I’m no longer in with a mathematical chance of winning the championship, but I can still fight for second place. A big thank you to my team and everyone who supports me.”

Devis Bergamini: “I really liked the track right away. After scoring third place in practice, I finished Superpole fifth, and so started the races from the second row. In race 1 I had to do a ride through due to a penalty I was given at Donington and this is why I ended up eighteenth across the line. Luckily, race 2 went really well and I scored a win, which puts me back in with a shot at the title. It won’t be easy, but we’ll keep trying all the way to the end. Thanks to the team for all their help.”
