E’ con grande emozione ed altrettanto grandi motivazioni che il Team Motoxracing si appresta ad affrontare in questo weekend il quarto round del WorldSBK in Italia, sulla pista di casa del Misano World Circuit.
Un appuntamento che per la squadra di Sandro Carusi rappresenta il clou stagionale, nell’anno del debutto nel mondiale delle derivate dalla serie.
Purtroppo il pilota Roberto Tamburini era stato vittima di un incidente in allenamento prima del precedente round dell’Estoril, dove è stato sostituito dal tedesco Marvin Fritz. Di conseguenza il pilota di Rimini non arriva a questo round in perfette condizioni fisiche. Roberto era stato prontamente operato per ridurre la frattura composta del malleolo tibiale destro, ma le sue condizioni fisiche non sono certamente ottimali. Ci penseranno i tifosi italiani con il loro sostegno a dargli la carica necessaria per superare i suoi problemi fisici.
Il round disputato in Portogallo ha confermato la competitività della Yamaha YZF R1M del Motoxracing, che con Fritz ha sfiorato per due volte la zona punti. Nei due precedenti round di Aragon ed Assen, Tamburini aveva conquistato per tre volte la points zone, accumulando un totale di 9 punti.
Sandro Carusi – Team Principal : "E’ una grande emozione per noi affrontare il round di casa nella nostra prima stagione nel WorldSBK. Senza l'infortunio occorso a Tamburini le aspettative sarebbero state diverse, ma siamo comunque motivati ad organizzare un bel evento. Avremo molti ospiti e sostenitori, e questo ci dara la giusta carica".
Roberto Tamburini: “Sono molto felice e motivato per affrontare con il massimo impegno il round di casa del Misano World Circuit. Spero di superare le ultime visite mediche per poter scendere in pista senza avvertire molto dolore, ma eventualmente mi farò aiutare con degli antidolorifici. Mi sarebbe piaciuto arrivare a questo round di casa in condizioni ben diverse, ma cercherò comunque di divertirmi e di dare il massimo, per il team e per tutti i nostri sostenitori che verranno a trovarci a Misano. Spero di ritrovare in fretta il feeling con la mia R1 in modo da ottenere i migliori risultati possibili”.

Team Motoxracing is ready to take on its home round at the Misano World Circuit
It is with real excitement and motivation that Team Motoxracing prepares to head into the fourth round of the WorldSBK championship in Italy, at the Misano World Circuit, the squad’s home track. An event that represents a season highlight for Sandro Carusi’s team in what is its first year in the production-derived series.
Unfortunately, rider Roberto Tamburini was involved in a training incident prior to the previous Estoril round, where he was replaced by German Marvin Fritz. The Italian rider is still not fully fit for this upcoming event. Although Roberto quickly underwent surgery to reduce the compound fracture to his right tibial malleolus, he is definitely not in top shape quite yet. With their passionate support, the Italian fans will no doubt give him the charge he needs to overcome the physical issues.
The Portuguese round confirmed the competitiveness of the Motoxracing Yamaha YZF R1M, which just missed the points zone on two occasions with Fritz. At the previous rounds of Aragon and Assen, Tamburini reached the points zone three times, scoring a total of 19 points.
Sandro Carusi – Team Principal: "We’re really excited to head into our home round in what is our first season in WorldSBK. Without Tamburini’s accident, our expectations would have been different, but we’re nevertheless highly motivated to put on a great event. We’ll have a lot of guests and supporters, and they will spur us on.”
Roberto Tamburini: “I’m really pleased and keen to do my very best at the Misano World Circuit. I hope to get through the final medical checks so that I can get on track without being in too much pain, but I’ll take painkillers if need be. I would have liked to come to this round in better shape, but I’ll try to have fun and give it my all, for the team and for all our supporters who will be there at Misano. I hope to quickly regain feeling with my M1 so that I can score the best possible results.”
